Karen's Review Of
Dunraven Arms:
Dunraven Arms:
The Dunraven Arms stands on the broad main street of this attractive town. With its sharply dressed staff, check-in desk, and lovely bedrooms it is has more the feel of a country house than a hostelry. Smartly decorated throughout, its attractive antique furniture adds to the old-world feeling. The large, informal bar is a gathering place for locals and residents alike and an excellent place to enjoy a casual dinner. However if you want a few quiet moments, there are several quiet lounges with comfortable chairs overlooking the garden. While the bedrooms in the old hostelry have lots of character we also enjoy the luxurious rooms in the new wings that stretches down long corridors behind the inn into the garden. Several bedrooms interconnect making them excellent choices for families. We love their spaciousness, large bathrooms and garden views. There’s a good few of them that have antique four poster beds and fireplaces as well. The brasserie style dining room serves well priced food. There’s always a traditional roast on the trolley to be carved at your table. Enjoy the health center with its swimming pool, gymnasium and array of spa treatment rooms. The hotel specializes in making golfing, equestrian, and fishing arrangements for guests.
