Hotel Haus Lipmann

The Hotel Haus Lipmann has been in the same family since 1795 and Marion Thölén Lipmann, your gracious hostess, is always on hand to see that her guests are well looked after. This quaint little hotel is especially appealing because it is located at the heart of one of the prettiest villages along the Mosel—with its picturesque medieval buildings, church, and ruined castle, Beilstein is a gem. The dining rooms are just as attractive as the exterior: you may find yourself in a small farmhouse-style room before an old fireplace, in the warm, paneled main dining room, or feasting in the knights’ hall surrounded by collections of old weapons. When weather permits, you can move outdoors to the wisteria-covered terrace and watch the life on the gentle River Mosel glide by as you sip a glass of excellent Mosel wine produced from the Lipmanns’ own grapes. Upstairs are six charming, nicely decorated guestrooms, all located at the front of the house with an antique bed and a splendid river view. There is also an annex building with a six more lovely guestrooms. Brother Joachim offers tasting in his cellar across the square and runs the town’s little wine museum. Beilstein’s wine festival takes place during the first weekend in September. The Haus Lipmann makes an excellent base for exploring the Mosel.
