The Gasthof Hotel Kloster-Stüble, dating from 1556, is a perfect little inn, combining reasonable prices with history, charm, and a good location. Just two blocks from the central market square, the Kloster-Stüble is tucked away on a quiet side street behind an old church and has pretty views of the surrounding countryside from many bedroom windows. The comfortable bedrooms, furnished in beautiful, country-pine reproductions, are mostly snug in size, though a couple are larger. A large apartment, set under the eaves, is perfect for families or longer stays. Downstairs, the dining room and stube are cozily rustic. Murals depicting life in days gone by decorate the stube walls and in the evenings regulars gather at the Stammtisch, a special table reserved only for those who come every day. In the adjoining dining room pretty, red and yellow colored walls and tablecloths set a romantic tone. Tables dressed with gleaming silver, china, and glassware, are topped with fresh flowers. Enjoy a typical Franconian meal before setting out to join the nightwatchman on his nightly tour of the town.
