Hotel Torbräu

The Torbräu, Munich’s oldest hostelry, has been offering a warm welcome to guests since 1490. Its location is excellent: a short walk down the Tal from Marienplatz, in the heart of Munich at the historic Isartor (one of Munich’s original main tower gates). The Kirchlechner family, owners for over one hundred years, are dedicated to ongoing improvements. Rooms range in size from snug singles, through spacious doubles, to two-room suites. The double rooms, deluxe rooms, and suites have complimentary drinks, tea and coffee making facilities. All the rooms have air conditioning and modern bathrooms. Breakfast is served every morning in the attractive dining room with a balcony overlooking the street. In their new restaurant Schapeau, they serve daily a selection of delicious dishes along with a variety of cakes or tarts, and a wide choice of wines in comfortable ambience. Relax in the bar where they serve a wide choice of drinks and unusual cocktail creations.
