This old stone house with a park is conveniently located—in the heart of Les Alpilles and just a few miles away from Fontvieille, Les Baux de Provence and Avignon. You are surrounded by laurels, olive trees, lavender and roses bushes. A stone terrace leads to a rustic reception room with a large fireplace. Next to it is the gastronomique restaurant “Le Saint Georges” with a bistrot, where different foreign specialties are offered each month. Up a few stairs is a living-room with library and fireplace. The eleven attractive bedrooms are named after poets, and each of them is decorated with respect to the light. The “Colette” room, on the south side, has bright yellow walls with nearly transparent curtains so the sun reflects in the room. They all have views over the park. The rooms are very quiet, and there are no TV’s in the rooms to preserve this ambience. You will hear only “cigals” (birds). A great bonus in the smaller rooms is a little terrace. The junior suite has a balcony. The pool with Jacuzzi and pool house is purposely set away from the house so drinks can be served but noise will not filter to the guest rooms. You can also be pampered with a massage, done next to the pool, in an intimate area surrounded by bamboos. This place not only offers rooms and a restaurant, but rejuvenation to your body and soul.
