Karen's Review Of This Property:

This 19th century Provencal manor quietly nestled in the hills above Cannes is an ideal base for exploring the Riviera. It was built at the end of the 19th century and has been restored over the years. The Swedish owner, Camilla Richards, opened this marvel in 2004. With five acres of beautiful secluded gardens overlooking a Lotus pond (to which it owes its name), the manor offers twenty-one rooms in a number of charming buildings. All rooms are good sized with wooden floors, private bathrooms with Salerne tiles, and simple decor in light and restful colours. Amenities include air-conditioning, satellite TV, and Internet. Most rooms face south with a view of hills and lake. Room 9 has a small balcony for enjoying the breathtaking view. Another delight is a large marble pool. Near the pool is a cosy garden area which invites you to a magical moment of tranquillity and romance among Provencal herbs. The authentic Italian restaurant “Il Lago” is open for lunch and dinner serving anti-pasti, risotto, and carpaccio complimented by Italian and Provencal wines. The meal can be enjoyed on the terrace or inside overlooking the pool and the valley. This last hamlet of peace in Mougins village, so well loved by Picasso, offers a memorable stay of serenity, comfort and beauty.
