Château de Meyrargues Sketch

Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Château de Meyrargues is a stunning castle, once the stronghold of the mightiest lords in Provence, perched on a hill overlooking the village below that bears its name. The hotel wraps around a courtyard where a terrace extends to a stone balustrade from which you can admire a panoramic view of forested hills. Although this is a huge château, once you enter, a cozy warmth prevails in the intimate lounges and beautiful small dining rooms. And, although the hotel looks like it might have many bedrooms, there are remarkably only eleven, and each guest is welcomed warmly as an individual. Each of the bedrooms is beautifully decorated. No two are alike, but each one is gorgeous—all the fabrics are color-coordinated and every detail in the rooms obviously chosen with loving care. The suites are very grand, but even the less expensive rooms are perfect in every detail. The charming owner, Maurice Binet, is also the manager, and is constantly about, making sure that guests are well looked-after. Going north from Aix-en-Provence on the A51, take exit 14 marked Meyrargues, following signs to the village center. Before reaching the village, take the road on the right marked to the hotel.
