We stayed at 3 wonderful Karen Brown recommended hotels on this trip and this was the best. The bathroom was roomy, the bedroom was good size, both were very clean, the room had a little balcony (with a chair and two tables; shutters opened up to it that kept the room dark at night) that looked out onto the village. The bathroom was roomy, the bedroom was good size, both were very clean, the room had a little balcony (with a chair and two tables; shutters opened up to it that kept the room dark at night) that looked out onto the village. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel restaurant was open one of the three nights we were there  and the dinner was the best meal we had in Provence - it was outstanding and reasonably priced. On the other two evenings the hotel staff made recommendations and reservations for us - and we could walk to those restaurants. Breakfasts in the garden in the morning were a delight. The grounds of the hotel, though small, are a wonderful oasis of relaxation - we spent several hours just relaxing by the pool and garden, enjoying quiet and a good book. Fontvieilleis a pretty small village with stores, banks, a market, and a windmill (that process olive oil) to walk to. We would gladly go back!
