This 16th-century farmhouse was owned by the famous hotelier Raymond Thuillier. It is now proudly owned by the two-Michelin-star chef Jean-André Charial who maintains the high standards his grandfather established decades before and it flourishes under his direction. He invites, “Welcome to my beloved Baumanière estate. Everything here is magical and generous: the light, the countryside, the crickets, the olive trees. Come and sample my cuisine and wine and spend some privileged time with us...” Nestled in the heart of Les Alpilles and sheltered by the towering and shadowing rocks of Les Baux, the secluded setting also includes two annexes: La Guigou, with three apartments, and Le Manoir, with seven, all of which are spacious and luxurious. Each guestroom is different and equipped with every lavish amenity. The style is chic and modern, with rustic touches and all the guestrooms have astonishing views of the surrounding countryside; some have private gardens. The haute Provençal cuisine draws visitors from all over the world to L’Oustau de Baumanière’s restaurant. For relaxing, there’s a brilliant swimming pool bordered by olive and cypress trees.
