Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Grand Hôtel Nord-Pinus has held court on the Place du Forum for generations. It is located at the heart of Arles and has been the chosen destination of many, most colorfully the grand matadors, bullfighters en route from Paris or Spain. With a decor of terra-cotta tiles, wrought iron, and splashes of color in bountiful flower arrangements, the Nord-Pinus has served as home to many artists and writers as well. The inviting and attractive restaurant, just off the entry, is a convenient place to dine on regional specialties. Guestrooms all have private bathrooms and vary from quite spacious to comfortable, with a decor of art deco to more traditional. Furnishings seem a bit worn, but somehow the worn look lends to the feeling of nostalgia and times past and is therefore forgiven. Choice rooms are number 4, a wonderful corner room that overlooks the plaza, and number 32, a suite, which is more modern in decor and a proven favorite of artists and photographers as it enjoys an expanse of window giving lots of light and views over the tiled rooftops of Arles. Smaller rooms such as number 7 are more reasonably priced, also nice in size, and almost always matched with a large bathroom. Breakfast is served behind arched columns on the first-floor landing or in the guestrooms.
