In 2011 we are thrilled to have a wonderful exhibition of Bernar Venet on the grounds and one on the War of seccession in our Pierre Salinger Museum.

We recently spent a delightful 3 days at the Bastide Rose, using it as a base for exploring Avignon, Orange,and the hill area of Provence northeast of Orange. The accommodations were wonderful - our suite was roomy, clean, comfortable, and specially decorated; the bathroom was great with space and a shower/bath tub. The room looked out through big Provencial shutters to a beautiful property with garden, stream/canal, and its own island. Poppy Salinger was a wonderful, attentive host and her son Emmanuel was amazing in the kitchen. Breakfasts were ample and in a beautiful glassed breakfast room that looked out into the garden. Dinner was also available on 24-hour advance notice - we did that two evenings and it was wonderful - while there were no choices, the multi-course meal was full of great, fresh local vegetables and fruits, and we savored each course, actually among the best meals we had in Provence - and, after two weeks in France, it was refreshing to not have to decipher a French menu - the second night we were the only people at dinner, so we had our own private chef - and, yes, it was quite romantic. There was turn-down service, excellent wi-fi and tv. We would highly recommend the property!
