Hôtel le Hameau

Le Hameau is an old farm complex set on the hillside just outside the walled town of Saint Paul de Vence. The whitewashed buildings, tiled roofs aged by years of sun, shuttered windows, arched entryways, heavy doors, and exposed beams all create a rustic and attractive setting. The bedrooms of this inn are found in four buildings clustered together amidst fruit trees and flower gardens. Each building has its own character and name: L’Oranger, L’Olivier, Le Pigeonnier, and La Treille. Three of the largest bedrooms have a small room for an infant and a balcony (3 have twin beds and room 2 has a double bed). Room 11, with antique twin beds and a lovely view onto the garden, was my favorite. Le Hameau does not have a restaurant, but a delicious country breakfast can be enjoyed in the garden or in the privacy of your room. A lovely pool with magnificent views of the valley, the sea, and the Riviera is an inviting spot. Le Hameau is highly recommended as a wonderful inn and a great value. Le Hameau has always been a favorite. Its setting affords magnificent views across the village to the beautiful waters of the Riviera from its guestrooms.
