Traveler Recommendation of
La Villa de Mazamet:
My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend a week at this splendid Chambres d'Hotes in southern France and enjoyed every second of our stay. Traveling all the way from Chicago, the proprietors, Peter and Mark made us feel more than at home with a warm welcome, a glass of wine, and towels for a quick dip in the pool--what a refreshing transition from the bustling life in the big city! This was our first visit to the South of France and it most certainly won't be our last. The Villa de Mazamet is a treasure, centrally located for travel throughout the region as well as to areas more proximal to the Mediterranean (Barcelona included!). Peter and Mark are meticulous hosts ever-available should you need something yet fully aware of your space. The meals and service are beyond 5-star. We chose to eat dinner at the Villa each night of our stay, knowing that we couldn't find a more delicious meal anywhere else! Days were spent either hiking in the nearby Montagne Noire, exploring the luscious markets held in downtown Mazamet, or simply lounging by the pool with a book and a cold drink. The Villa is truly perfect and vehemently recommended by these travelers!!!

When you visit France, don’t miss the experience of La Villa de Mazamet! Peter and Mark make everything special, from the moment you’re welcomed to your reluctant goodbye. We stayed two nights this June and truly hated to leave.

Consider booking massage ahead of time: it’s excellent and a great way to relax into this exceptional place. Enjoy Peter’s delicious cooking. Peter and Mark make it seem like having dinner in the beautiful home of close friends. Take their advice about the sce...

Staying at Villa de Mazamet was one of the highlights of a two week visit to France. We usually stay near Carcassonne but decided to try something new and what a wonderful find. Peter and Mark are incredible hosts and have renovated a lovely villa in the most tasteful and elegant way. I would say their attention to detail throughout the property is second to any I have found at this type of lodging. We were struck by how peaceful and tranquil the grounds are in a city setting. Our dinner ...
