Hôtel le Relais Sainte Anne

Enter through an arched doorway into the interior courtyard of this lovely hotel and you are embraced by the tranquility and beauty of the setting. This was once a religious school for girls and you can almost hear echoes of their laughter in the hallways and gardens. Set across the lawn from the entrance is a beautiful chapel and guestrooms are found in the various buildings that enclose the complex. We toured rooms in each building and they all had their own charm and attributes. I loved the privacy of number 7 with its own entrance at the top of the stairs and cozy bedroom tucked under the vaulted ceiling and beams. Number 6 with its king bed is exceptionally large and enjoys an outlook to the back garden, while number 3 is lovely with a king bed and large jetted tub and French doors opening to the splendor of the surrounding gardens. The colors and patterns selected for fabrics and furnishings are very pretty and the rooms all enjoy modern appointments and comforts. Each building has both accommodations and public rooms for guests, who can also relax in the beautifully landscaped grounds, at the delightful pool, or at the restaurant. Boasting local cuisine, guests can enjoy menu selections either in the restaurant, at tables in the park, or even via room service. Breakfast can be taken in one’s room, on the lovely garden terrace, or in the cozy breakfast room with its wonderful open fireplace. This is a charming hotel.
