We stayed here in the Spring. Amboise is a lovely little town with a historic chateau (once the home of Kings of France) and a manor house where Leonardo da Vinci lived. The Manoir St Thomas is a delightful family-run small 4 star hotel and very well appointed. There are 7 or 8 bedrooms (I can’t remember exactly) all decorated and furnished individually and with fantastic bathrooms en suite. It’s a converted historic manor house set in a large walled garden (with a swimming pool) just off the centre of town & 5 minutes walk from the chateau. The welcome and service are superb; it’s like staying in a private house. I can’t recommend it too highly.
