Located on a quiet, side street just a few blocks from the Opéra and in the other direction from the Seine, Le Horset Opéra enjoys an incredible location on Paris’ Right Bank. I have long recommended hotels owned and managed by the Teil Family, two of which are nestled on the left bank, one is in the prestigious residential district of the 8th arrondissement, and am now pleased to recommend Le Horset Opéra. The Teil consistency in good taste is evident from the moment one passes through the door into a pretty sitting area opposite an inviting and intimate bar. All 48 double and six single rooms are handsome in their décor with attractive wallpapers and fabrics that beautifully compliment those in the bedspreads and drapes. Although not overly spacious, the rooms are very comfortable in size–most with twin beds that convert to king (the six singles boast double beds) with modern bathrooms finished in either marble or tile, all with a tub/shower unit, sink, toilet and towel warmer. Rooms are equipped with direct dial phones, satellite TV, wireless internet access, and excellent lighting. Rooms are identified by numbers engraved on brass plaques with the symbolic coquille–the universal sign of welcome. A lavish breakfast buffet is included in the price of the room or a continental will graciously be served to your room.
