Le Château de Reignac is a wonderfully preserved chateau in the countryside of the Loire Valley. We stayed in the very large Jean Baptiste Charcot room which was in the "attic" (steep stairs leading up to the room) with a with a king bed and claw foot bath tub. Breakfast was plentiful in the small dining room. Dinner is offered but we did not partake. This is a great base for exploring the eastern Loire Valley including Chambord, Blois and Amboise. Be sure to ask to peek into the chapel, a tiny but ornate masterpiece.
