Le Fleuray Hotel & Restaurant

Set in the peaceful countryside of the Loire Valley, yet close to Amboise, Le Fleuray is a lovely soft-peach manor, covered in Virginia Creeper and surrounded by well-kept gardens. Dating from the 1800’s, the Newington Family have been tastefully converting the property over the past twenty years. The decor is pretty with floral and stripes both in the fabrics and wallpapers, pine furniture. Guestrooms, named after flowers, appropriately all enjoy garden views. Guestrooms with terraces overlooking the swimming pool, which are located in converted barns, are a wonderful option for families. Open year round, in summer guests enjoy the heated pool, in winter a cozy log fire. Guests can also enjoy a lovely breakfast and dinner under the shade of trees on the garden terrace or in the gorgeous verandah-style restaurant. Romain Grasso, previously a second chef in a Michelin starred restaurant, has brought his award winning creative cuisine to Le Fleuray. Both à la carte and fixed priced menus are offered while the wine list keeps faithfully to the Loire vineyards. Le Fleuray also offers the luxury of a jacuzzi/hot-tub that is open all year round and complimentary bikes. Le Fleuray is an ideal base from which to explore the area’s many castles, villages, and vineyards-all short and easy drives along quiet back roads.
