Hôtel de la Poste

Hôtel de la Poste is located on the old ring road that follows the ancient city walls of Beaune. With parts of it dating back to 1660, the hotel has in recent years undergone a complete renovation including the addition of double-paned windows and a lovely new flower garden for guests to enjoy. There are also five new deluxe guestrooms located in a quiet back wing that enjoy a separate entry, handsome furnishings, and sumptuous space. The lobby and bar have retained their old-world ambiance, but the bedrooms in the main building are a mix of traditional as well as contemporary in their decor. This is a lovely city hotel, centrally located for touring Burgundy, that is also large enough to cater to groups. The principal restaurant, very pretty in a decor of subdued elegance, has maintained its standard of excellence and some of France’s finest Burgundies are a perfect accompaniment to the hotel’s outstanding menu selections. A second restaurant, Le Bistro, located off the garden courtyard, is open for lunch and on pretty days meals can also be enjoyed in the garden. It is wonderful to stay in Beaune and just a few minutes’ walk brings you to the heart of this charming old walled town and its delightful pedestrian streets.
