Hôtel Arnold

I have relied on Karen Brown recommendations for over 25 years, and once again, she did not steer us wrong. This place is absolutely lovely and charming and looks like something out of a picture book. We (my husband, my adult daughter and I) enjoyed the time we spent here very much and the staff were very friendly. Our room was immaculate and everything worked; the mattress and the down pillows were just right and the crisp ironed cotton sheets were wonderful to the touch. We had a beautiful window that overlooked the town and the vineyards below. We would come back here again any time.The value is exceptional.

The innkeeper steered us away from the more expensive apartment and to the "family room" in the main Hotel Arnold building. We had no idea it existed. The innkeeper steered us away from the more expensive apartment and to the "family room" in the main Hotel Arnold building. We had no idea it existed. The room was much less expensive and still met our needs. (We wanted to have a separate room for our two children.) The room was perfect and the hotel was absolutely charming. The village of Itterswiler was one of our favorites along the Route du Vin. We ate dinner at the Weinstube Arnold, and the staff there was equally as friendly and helpful. We thought our meal was very good, and well priced. The little gift shop adjoining the restaurant was well stocked with quality, but not overpriced, items. Our only critique was the mediocre breakfast. For 12 Euro, we expected more than just a few slices of meat/cheese, very few breads/jams, and just a couple pieces of fruit. We’ve traveled in Europe often and are familiar with the traditional breakfasts. We just thought this was overpriced for what you got. Otherwise, as usual, Karen Brown did well by us. She’s been steering us to fantastic accommodations since 2002, and we will continue to use her reviews.
