San Domenico House

The San Domenico House is located just steps from London’s bustling Sloane Square in the heart of the fashionable borough of Chelsea. With easy access to both the City and the West End it appeals to business executives and leisure travelers alike. Behind the Victorian façade lies a luxurious townhouse hotel, lovingly decorated with a touch of Italy as well as beautiful antique furniture from around the world and rare 19th century European pieces of art. Across from the marbled lobby is a cozy drawing room where guests order traditional afternoon tea or enjoy an aperitif before going on to one of the many restaurants located nearby. A small elevator whisks guests to one of the sixteen rooms (of which there are nine suites), all individually decorated, air conditioned and featuring heavy tapestry fabrics, lovely antiques and ensuite bathroom. I personally liked room 403 with its black marble bathroom but my favorite is room 104, a split-level suite presided over by its grand Venetian-style canopied bed. A roof terrace with stunning views across Chelsea and the surrounding area is perfect for guests to have breakfast in the summer and enjoy pre-dinner drinks.
