Karen's Review Of This Property:
The St. Enodoc Hotel occupies an exquisite location on one of England’s most scenic coastlines overlooking the broad Camel estuary. Combine this with a refreshing, stylishly chic, Mediterranean interior and you have a real winner. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the comfortable sitting room or take advantage of the well-stocked library featuring books on Cornwall and some by Cornish authors. Soak in the panoramic water view from the smart, split-level bar and restaurant specializing in modern European cuisine, or stroll down the lane and take the little ferry across to the ancient fishing port of Padstow with its array of shops and restaurants. Bedrooms are very nicely decorated with those at the front having lovely views. There is a choice of king- or twin-bedded rooms, several with a large window seat that can be converted to a small child’s bed, though families often opt for one of the more spacious family suites. With its heated outdoor pool (May through September), billiard room, gym, children’s playroom and adjacent golf course, the St. Enodoc is an ideal holiday hotel. The nearby little fishing village of Port Isaac with its craft and antique shops is charming, but also drive to Carbis Bay and take the little train to St. Ives for a visit to the Tate Gallery, or meander up the coast to Tintagel of King Arthur fame.
