Karen's Review Of This Property:

Renovated and restored to its original Georgian style, and with all the conveniences expected of a thoroughly modern townhouse hotel, Dukes enjoys a prominent position on Great Pulteney Street, one of Bath’s more prestigious boulevards. As might be expected, the bedrooms and suites are named after dukes. Most are airy and spacious and have period plasterwork details and enormous sash windows looking out onto the bustle of the surrounding streets. Other rooms have views of the Bath skyline. The hotel’s excellent Cavendish Restaurant and Bar, together with the adjoining peaceful patio garden, provide the perfect venue in which to enjoy a relaxing drink and meal. A level, five minutes’ walk from the famous Pulteney Bridge, the hotel is superbly positioned to take advantage of this lovely city.

Directions: Leave the M4 motorway at Junction 18 and head south on the A46. After approximately 9 miles, at the bottom of a long hill, follow signs to Bath. On the outskirts of town turn left at a traffic light, signposted A36 Warminster (Bathwick Road). At the next traffic light turn right into Sydney Place and approximately 150 yards farther on take a half right turn into Great Pulteney Street. Dukes is on the left. Double park on arrival, parking is usually available later in the day, and the hotel lends you a parking permit.
