Apple Garden Cottage:

Had a great stay at this unique property. Location was excellent for quick access anywhere on the coast from Point Reyes to Bodega Bay. Also close for our visits to the wine country. Jan and Louis have lived in the area for many years and so are an excellent source for where to go, what to do, where to eat, etc. Jan's breakfasts are amazing - delivered right to the door of the cottage. The cottage itself was delightful, with a full modern kitchen if we wanted to eat lunch or dinner in, nice fireplace, plenty of room to lounge around, and a nice deck for sitting overlooking the large vegetable garden and the livestock in the field across the way. The apple orchard itself is fun to explore and there is a lively flock of chickens to observe. The quaint town of Tomales is a short walk away and there is an excellent bakery there besides deli and old fashioned general store. Lots to do. We'll be back.

Apple Garden Cottage is a unique property centrally located near the Marin/Sonoma coast. The cozy cottage is well-appointed and comfortable, and the innkeeper Jan serves an excellent breakfast as well as afternoon refreshments. The cottage sits amid a working organic apple farm with a flock of chickens to provide beautiful fresh eggs. The surrounding hills and nearby coast are peaceful and serene. This is a perfect get-away spot and is deceptively close to both the Bay Area and Sacramento.
