Petite Auberge

The Petite Auberge is a little bit of France in the heart of San Francisco. Its location on Bush Street, just steps from the theater district, shopping and restaurants, makes it ideal for exploring the city on foot—hop aboard a cable car two blocks away. The façade is most appealing—a slim, four-story building with a column of bay windows bordered by narrow windows decorated with flowerboxes. A collection of French dinner plates, a large art poster and teddy bears give a warm welcome to the lobby. The attractive bedrooms come in four sizes: cozy queen, very snug queen-bedded room; queen with fireplace, a larger queen-bedded room with a fireplace that face towards a central courtyard; deluxe queen, the largest queen-bedded rooms with fireplace, deluxe king sofabed and a windowseat overlooking Bush Street. Downstairs is a most inviting king-bedded “honeymoon” suite with a fireplace, spa tub, and private outside entrance and deck. Wine, sherry, and hors d’oeuvres are available each evening for those guests who want a quiet moment after a busy day. A delicious breakfast is served buffet style in the delightful breakfast room with its French marketplace mural and French doors giving onto a pretty patio which is a most inviting place to enjoy breakfast on warm mornings.
