Blue Lantern Inn

The Blue Lantern Inn, perched on a bluff offering unparalleled views of the fascinating harbor of Dana Point and the blue Pacific, is an outstanding inn on southern California’s Riviera. The inn is designed in a Cape Cod style—a most appealing building whose many gables, towers, and jutting rooflines create a whimsical look. The façade is painted a soft gray made even prettier by its crisp white trim. Each of the 29 guestrooms is individually decorated—some with light-pine, some with wicker, others with dark-mahogany furniture. The traditional-style furnishings complement the beach-side setting. Each room has a gas log fireplace and spacious bathroom with jetted spa tub. Many of the rooms capture magnificent views of the sea. A full signature breakfast is served buffet style each morning in the sunroom, a cheerful room where sunlight streams through the wall of windows or outside on the view terrace.
