Karen's Review Of This Property:

Three blocks from the ocean, Sea View Inn is within easy walking distance of the much-photographed Carmel beach. You can catch glimpses of the water through the trees from the inn’s third floor. This large Victorian house has always been an inn. Deep-red-colored board-and-batten wainscoting accented by a plate rail displaying antiques and interesting bric-a-brac sets the welcoming mood for the living room and adjacent parlor where continental breakfast, afternoon tea and coffee, and evening wine and sherry are served. Both rooms are warmed by cozy fireplaces. Games, books, and magazines add a comfortable, lived-in feel. The largest bedrooms are found on the second floor. Room 6 has an elegant decor with an Oriental rug, Ralph Lauren prints, and white window shutters. Room 7 has a dramatic Oriental-style four-poster bed draped with blue-and-white chinese-motif fabric. The four tiny bedrooms tucked under the steeply slanting attic ceilings on the third floor provide the very snuggest of accommodation. Each is lavishly decorated in a Provence floral print gathered into canopies and covering huge bed pillows. With it’s location in Carmel’s premier residential area it is delightful walk to the restaurants and shops in town.
