For lovers of Italian food, we offer a unique hands-on opportunity to participate in small groups in a cooking holiday experience. The local women of Veneto will share their techniques, special ingredients, and family recipes. Our classes are ideal for cooks at all experience levels. And you’ll join them a tavola to enjoy what you’ve prepared.

Programs are offered in April, May, June, September and October. Our daily classes begin at 10:30 and end around 2:00, allowing you time to explore the art and culture of Veneto in our scheduled excursions.

Maria’s cooking philosophy is quite simple: she wants to teach people to cook and enjoy good and healthy food.

The Setting:

Tenuta Castel Venezze welcomes you to a green haven. Enjoy sun-drenched cuisine and regional wines in our restaurant or in the shadow in our garden. It is a typical Italian Country house, located between Venice and Bologna.

First, let me say as a tourguide for AAA World Tours, and an avid traveler (albiet a bit spoiled by AAA)
Contessa Maria is one of the most friendly,gracious, accommodating hostesses I have ever met. The Tenuta is immaculate, and the cooking school was wonderful. I still make the best gnocchi in Northern California.
So, ultimately I can only tell you of my and my husband’s experience, but honestly, this was one of the most memorable, enjoyable experiences ever.

Looking at the pictures, you think it is a romantic castle in Italy. Arriving there is a big disappointment. The rocky road towards the place is a disaster for you and your car. The owner Mrs Maria Giustiniani is very unfriendly. She does not advise you if you have any questions, no brochures etc. The apartments are dirty, moisty and full of dirty insects. The type of people visiting the ’Castle’ made us feel very unsafe.
