From Visp a road leads south from the Rhöne Valley, heading directly to the mountains. After a short distance, the road splits: the right branch going to Zermatt, the left branch
going to Saas Fee. While not as quaint a village as Zermatt, Saas Fee has a marvelous location on the side of the mountain with stunning views over the Saas Valley. Skiing in winter and hiking in summer are what attracts the many tourists who come here on holiday.
