Gottlieben is a small, picturesque village hugging the water’s edge on the Unter See, a small lake linked to Lake Constance by a canal. The town is as an excellent base from which to explore the region by water rather than by road. From Gottlieben you can take ferryboats to Stein am Rhein and Schaffhausen or you can travel by boat to Lake Constance.
