Zug, one of Switzerland’s oldest towns, makes an interesting stop as you travel between Zürich and Lucerne. Bypass the new part of the city and head directly to the lake where you will find its historic center, snuggled next to the waterfront. From the lake, a maze of cobbled streets, colorful houses, and quaint squares stretch back to its ancient walls. It won’t take you long to explore this section since it is like a tiny town within a modern city.
