Bear left from São Pedro do Sul, remaining on N16, to Vouzela. As you enter, note on your right the enchanting little church, its façade totally covered with blue-and-white tiles. In this area you begin to encounter espigueiros, the characteristic storage and smoking sheds set on stilts next to the stone houses or in the fields. They are typical of northern Portugal and Galicia in Spain (where they are called horreos).
