Leaving Immenstadt, you leave the soaring granite peaks of the Alps behind and travel beside a lake and along a valley bordered with green hills. The valley opens up at Oberstaufen, a small town that steps down the hillside where every home seems to have a fabulous view of the far side of the valley whose green pastureland is dotted with farmhouses.
