Talmont

Take a couple of hours to stroll around Talmont. The roads are car free so you can amble at leisure and feel like you have gone back in time. Visit the 12th century monastary and take in the views across the estuary to the Medoc and Royan. Stop and have a coffee or a meal at one of the cafes or restaurants or browse in one of the many small shops, all selling quite individual items that can't be found on the high street. If you time your visit right, the holly hocks will be out in profusion and this make the village even prettier. Talmont is included in the list of France's most beautiful villages. Bon Vacance!
