The medieval-walled town of Brancion is an enchanting place to visit. With a history that goes back to the 10th century, it was once considered one of the most strategic strongholds in southern Burgundy. It is necessary to park outside town and then venture by foot to explore this village where time seems almost to have stood still. It is interesting to visit the church with its lovely frescoes and the ruins of the old castle.
