Domme

Domme is a medieval walled village that has for centuries stood guard high above the river and commanded a magnificent panorama. The town itself is enchanting, with ramparts that date from the 13th century and narrow streets that wind through its old quarter and past a lovely 14th-century Hôtel de Ville. At the town center under the old market place, you find access to some interesting stalactite and stalagmite grottos. However, most visitors come to Domme for its spectacular views—the best vantage point is from the Terrasse de la Barre.
