Ronda
A Karen Brown Recommendation
| Recenter Map To This Location |
Ronda is tucked high in the hills up a winding road from the Costa del Sol. A rich Arabic and Christian heritage has left its mark on the town that is filled with palatial houses. It was in Ronda that bullfighting first began, and even today bullfights are still held in the colorful bullring. However, it is the setting that makes Ronda stand out from many of the other white villages of Andalusia—the town is split by a deep gorge spanned by an incredibly high, 18th-century arched stone bridge.
