Granada

Granada is instantly a favorite of all who visit. When you see the mountain setting, it is easy to understand why this was the last stronghold of the Moors. From its lofty perch, the Alhambra, a fairy tale of palaces built around courtyards filled with flowers, fruit trees, tranquil pools, and beautiful fountains, dominates the newer city. The interior walls are covered with tiny, colorful tiles creating intricate patterns that are enhanced by slender columns, graceful arches, and fancy plasterwork. Obviously, the Moors were great romantics—all the senses are rewarded from the fragrance of the gardens to the soothing melody of the fountains. You must not rush your time here.
