Ravello is a tiny village tucked high in the hills above the coast with absolutely dazzling views down to the sea. If you are not overnighting in Ravello, you must plan to take the narrow winding road up to this romantic clifftop town. When you arrive, leave your car in one of the designated parking areas, pick up a map at the tourist office, then walk along the well-marked path to the Villa Rufolo and the Villa Cimbrone—both have beautiful gardens that are open to the public and enchanting views of the Bay of Salerno.
