La Cour Pavée

Following a really enjoyable stay in one of your recommended B&B, I have since looked at your recommendations whenever I travel: an excellent reference! I recently discovered a new B&B, La Cour Pavée , a jewel noteworthy to mention in your recommendations. Ulrich and Catherine Indermuehle, excellent and charming hosts, whom you’ll enjoy talking to, received my friends in their new B&B. Ulrich, a Swiss German, professional chef and caterer and Catherine a Swiss who grew up in Latin America speak English, French, Spanish, German & Swiss German. La Cour Pavée (www.lacourpavee.ch) opened in November 2009 in Genolier only 20 minutes away from Geneva airport and 2 minutes by train from Nyon, one of the fastest growing towns in Lake Geneva area. La Côte region, of which Genolier is part of, has been chosen as home for personalities such as Phil Collins, Michael Schumacher among other. This B&B is part of a renovated 18th century farm overlooking Lake Geneva. I congratulate Catherine for her excellent taste: the interiors are really unique. The B&B has 3 cozy rooms, all with very modern bathrooms with rain showers, free wifi access, cable TV, and parking. All this while maintaining the charm of the 18th century farm. My friends really enjoyed the delicious breakfast: 6 different types of breads, unique marmalades prepared by Ulrich, local cheeses, mueslis, cappuccino, while chatting with other guests from Italy and the U.S. Genolier is a charming little typical Swiss village nestled in La Côte area. It has two restaurants: one favored by the locals for their excellent fondue and raclette and the other an award winning one (13 points Gaume Millet) with a contemporary seasonal menu. The town also has two art galleries very well known in the region. I can highly recommend La Cour Pavée when you visit this area. There are many excursions you can undertake from this ideal location, be it cross country skiing and hiking for the more sports minded people or a drive through the vineyards of La Côte. You can also visit Geneva and Lausanne, or some picturesque little towns such as Rolle, Morges Nyon and Coppet. Last but not least, La Cour Pavée is only two minutes away from the famous Clinique de Genolier, attended by patients from all over the world (www.cdg.ch).
