La Coudre Bed & Breakfast

La Coudre is an elegant, small bed & breakfast tucked up in the gentle hills above Lake Geneva, a convenient location for exploring this beautiful region of Switzerland. Before your gracious hosts, Vivien and Marcel, decided to convert it into a tiny hotel, the lovely property was the home of Vivien’s parents. You will fall in love at first sight with this exceptionally appealing manor. It’s a pretty, three-story white house accented by green shutters and romantically laced with ivy. The interior is also outstanding—each room is decorator perfect, displaying the warmth and charm of a private home. The lounge (with a cute bar tucked at one end of the room) is pretty as can be with dark red walls setting off a pair of leather sofas set in front of an open fireplace. A full English breakfast is served each morning in a wonderful dining room with a magnificent parquet floor and tall French windows, accented by handsome floral draperies which overlook the garden. In warm weather, most guests prefer to enjoy breakfast at small tables set in the garden. Another appealing hideaway for a cup of tea is the glass-enclosed sunroom with pretty, white-wicker chairs. A handsome staircase winds up to the very attractive, individually decorated guestrooms (all with free internet access). My favorite has twin beds highlighted by stunning antique, hand-painted headboards and matching armoire.
