La Pedra Remenca:
This property is a self contained villa with 2 bedrooms. The villa is situated in the high in the hills about 20mins west of Girona. The views from the villa terrace are superb, the interior is decorated to a high standard and the small kitchen is very well equipped . The property also has a washing machine and all mod cons such as TV, DVD player etc. Outside there are lovely gardens, a wooded area and a vegetable patch (where you can pick your own) and numerous flowers that attract many butterflies. There is also a nice pool which can be lit at night. The villa is situated in the volcanic area around Olot. The area is a great place for hiking and cycling as there are numerous cycle tracks. It is also within easy driving distance of the Pyrenees and the fantastic beaches of the Costa Brava. Barcelona is about 1.5hrs away. The nearby city of Girona is another interesting place to visit. Overall I highly recommend this property.

It has a wealth of options for tourists who appreciate leaving the beaten track in search of a more authentic experience of Spain. In addition to the beautiful city of Girona and the narrow, winding streets of its old town, you can visit the national park of La Garrotxa, once alive with volcanos and now a verdant patchwork of mountains, valleys and medieval villages. We rented a house in the countryside...
