Casa Olea:
Casa Olea was the perfect place for our first trip to Spain. We stayed a week and honestly wish we could have stayed longer. Casa Olea is a traditional Andalucian farmhouse with elegant touches and decor, and set in breathtaking olive groves and mountainous countryside. We based ourselves in the tranquil surroundings of Casa Olea and did day trips to Granada and Cordoba. Both are must sees on any itinerary. And, Casa Olea was such a restful place to return to each night. We explored the nearby villages and enjoyed the delicious local goat's cheese. The hosts (Claire and Tim - lovely British couple!) were on hand to give us all the information we needed. They also provided selfguided hikes from the house so we could go and explore ourselves – we even saw a wild boar! There were bikes to hire but unfortunately we ran out of time, too busy drinking the Spanish wines and eating home-cooked meals!

It seems a little like carrying coal to New Castle to add another “Superior” review to those already posted. It’s just too bad that there’s not an even higher rating; Casa Olea certainly deserves it. Sometimes it is difficult, nay impossible to describe some of ones exceptional experiences in life. In my own inept way I wish to say the BIGGEST thank you that I can muster on behalf of Catherine, my wife and myself to Claire and Tim Murray-Walker the owners of Casa Olea for a truly memorable week of sight seeing, walking and relaxing.
From the moment of our arrival to the final farewell Tim and Claire could not have been more attentive to our every requirement.
