Karen's Review Of
Villa Rizzi Albarea:
Villa Rizzi Albarea:
This historic ex-convent dating back a thousand years is the oldest of the aristocratic Venetian Villas in the area of the Brenta canal, impeccably restored by descendants of the original aristocratic family. Guests have an extraordinary opportunity for a brief moment, to live the life of the Villa-Museum along with hosts who passionately recount the history of the property, its artifacts, original architecture details from various periods (medieval floors, renaissance frescoes, antiques and paintings). The elongated u-shaped home with front rose garden and romantic park (including a big, beautiful pool and lake with swans) incorporates the private residence, servants quarters, chapel, cloisters and barns. Rooms on the main floor, each more fascinating than the next, include the salon with its grand piano, libraries, and veranda where breakfast is served by the butler. Your host is a surgeon with a passion for vintage cars and car racing. Three of the seven junior suites adjoin an elegant salon—ideal for a group of friends. Bedrooms are appointed in style with canopy beds and antique furnishings. Another hall is dedicated to the extra features such as sauna, gym, solarium and massage treatments.

I would like to share with you about our fabulous visit at the Villa Rizzi Albarea in September of 2007. The exuberent love she has for her home is so apparent after just spending a few moments with her and it made us fall in love with it as well. Aida’s willingingness to teach visitors about the history ...
