La Ghirlanda

La Ghirlanda is an enchanting country home, glowing with warmth and color, charm and romance. The sprawling country estate home of Riccardo and Amalija who encourage you to make their house your home. From the hill top position, the light yellow stately home, originally the family hunting lodge, takes in sweeping views of the alternating wooded and cultivated landscapes, thankfully all theirs and therefore left unspoiled. The secluded pool area is an agreeable spot from which to literally breath in this inspiring scene. Each individually decorated bedroom has been thoughtfully appointed with antique pieces, fine linens and color coordinated fabrics. A cozy wine bar, dining room, library and sitting room with fireplaces are all open to guests and meals are enjoyed either within the golden hued dining room or out in the garden under the stars. Guests are offered freshly made totally Umbrian recipes accompanied by their own top-rated Sagrantino di Montefalco wine. Most ingredients come right from the farm, including meats, vegetables, fruits and of course, the extra virgin olive oil.
