I would like to share a special place that my family discovered this past summer. We have rented and seen many villas in Tuscany, but this one is by far the best. Podere Felceto is tucked away down a long dirt road and is on a small prominence within the Chianti valley, surrounded by peaceful vineyards and olive trees. We fit my entire family of 5 and both sets of grandparents and had two rooms to spare. The place is magical and no matter how hard we tried we couldn't capture the 360 degrees of beauty with our cameras. With a large well-kept pool, billiard table, ping pong table, large country kitchen, internet access, cooking-lessons (optional) and a wood burning pizza oven, there were enough activities to keep us all busy, and lots of space to spread out and gather as well. The owners of place serve as the concierge, daily travel advisor and warm host and truly bring a personal touch to the experience which makes you feel like you are home. Because Felceto is hidden away from any major town, roadway or other villa, the silence reveals only the sounds of animals, bees and the wind against the olive trees and vineyards. We stayed there in early July and the temperature and weather was nearly perfect. The main house has rooms that are large, sunny and well kept and sleeps 13 with an additional cottage that adds sleeping room for another 2. The nearby town of Panzano is also a highlight for its colorful famous butcher, Dario Chechini, and for all the things that make small unspoiled towns in Tuscany special. In sum, my family fell in love with this place and the people who run it. It is definitely a place we will return to, and next time we will bring more of the family. I hope your readers get a chance to pay them a visit. It is an experience we will cherish forever.

This past summer we took our entire family (11 total) for a week in Italy at a Villa in Tuscany that would accommodate all of us comfortably and in style.
