Traveler Recommendation of
La Casalta:
To forestall any mis-understanding, let us immediately say that La Casalta is not just a B and B establishment, but offers 3 superbly, well-equipped appartments. The breakfast side operates on the basis that the owner, Mrs Francesca Tommasini provides all necessary breakfast requirements, according to the individual guests wishes. We have stayed at La Casalta many times at various times of the year and have always been greatly impressed by the welcoming and helpfulness of our Hostess Francesca. From our experience we would merely say that we would highly reccommend a holiday at La Casalta. Within the 40,000sq.meter grounds wherein this property is situated, the 3 appartments are beautifully arranged with a tasteful selection of furniture and all necessary utensils to provide complete self-catering if required. Should self-catering not be your favourite pass-time there is a wide range of good restaurants available in the nearby towns of Licignano and Sinalunga, both of which are within 10 minutes driving distance. We ourselves have tried a number of these restaurants and have always been extremely satisfied with the range of food and the service on offer . La Casalta is ideally positioned to enable the inquisitive tourist to discover the beauty of the Tuscan country-side with its many ancient towns and villages......all jewels in their own right. We are thinking of towns such as Arezzo, Montalcino, San Giminagno, Sienna, Cortona and Montepulchiano, to name but a few. For those guests who are in search of peace and tranquillity and simply want to get away from it all, La Casalta offers the ideal venue, with its extensive lawns, a large swimming pool, a small wooded and shady area, a vineyard, all enclosed within the fenced-in area of this property. La Casalta is indeed an oasis of peace and tranquility. We have of course not been the only guests to sing the praises of this place. Should you require more testimonials we suggest that you look up the La Casalta web-site on which you will find a link to " Trip Adviser ". There you will find the comments of other guests who have been as equally delighted as we ourselves. The web-site is :------www.casalta.com Yours sincerely, Hazel and Gastone CARUANA: germany,

This is our second stay at Ls Casalta and we would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone wishing a tranquil country retreat from which you can easily tour Tuscany and Umbria. Francesca, the owner and hostess of La Casalta, has an incredible knowledge about all of the towns and vistas within driving range. She can tell you the route to take to get the most scenic vistas and what Restaurants to eat at in all the surrounding towns.

We arrived at La Casalta in October 2008 on the advice of out travel agent. We returned this year on our own to see if the magic was real. At the moment you drive through the gates you are greeted by the proprietress, Francesca Tomasini, and you feel as if you have known her forever. Her warm, friendly personality set the stage for our stay.
The villa is set on 40,000 square meters of green parkland with a pool, olive trees, grape vines and spectacular views of the valley and surrounding t...
