I have been using your guides for Italy since 1997 & all the places we have chosen through your books have been wonderful! I wanted to tell you about the above gem that I stayed at in 2007 with my daughter & again in 2008 with my husband. It is a lovely bed & breakfast in this beautiful old village of Loro Ciuffenna(was a medieval castle). Wonderful & extremely helpful owner & staff. The cappuccino at breakfast is great. Rooms with views of the Loro river or the distant hills. The restaurant attached to the B&B serves delicious food as well.The village is just charming & there are other lovely places to eat in town & you can hike up to other little hill towns. A great winery close by as well. Comfortable driving distance to other Tuscan towns-we drove to the Chianti region, San Gimignano, Montelpuciano & some other places as well. It is about 45 minutes-1hour's drive from the Florence airport. I can't wait to go back.
