Palazzo Galletti

Palazzo Galletti, housed in an historic Florentine palazzo dating to the 1800s, comes under the category of Historic Residences—a glorified bed and breakfast. Young and enthusiastic partners, Francesca and Samuele acquired the entire upper first floor (historically referred to as the Noble floor and characterized by high ceilings and frescoed walls) with the idea of offering high quality accommodation in a more home-like ambiance. Enter from the street through ancient iron gates. Up a flight of stairs is the small reception area, from which a hallway with bedrooms extends and wraps around the center atrium. Softly styled guestrooms, each different from the next and named after the planets, are nicely appointed in beige tones contrasting with colorful abstract paintings. Elios (Sun) and Selene (Moon) are two beautiful new suites! Many rooms have original features such as the magnificent old frescoes in the two corner junior suites. A fresh buffet breakfast is served in the original kitchen with its vaulted brick ceilings, sink and oven dating to 1550. A day spa, Soul Space, offers massages and treatments.
