The latest arrival in the group of independent city bed & breakfast properties, managed by Lea, is the very charming Antica Dimora Firenze. Located in part of an ancient palazzo owned by the Pandolfini family, just 5 blocks north of the Duomo Cathedral, it has similar characteristics to the other bed & breakfasts found in the same area (Johanna I & II, Johlea) owned by the same cordial owner, but offers a great deal more. Six smartly decorated rooms are located on the second floor of the ancient, residential building. Each room is individually and tastefully appointed as in a true home, with great attention to detail and guest comfort. A cozy living/reception room with inviting sofas plus breakfast room awaits guests. Breakfast is served in this same reception room or privately in the bedrooms. It is difficult to choose a preference among the six romantic rooms, each completely different in soft pastel color schemes and a unique, additional feature. There are two lovely corner rooms and two quiet ones with small back terraces. All have antique pieces, silk or hand-woven Busatti fabrics and linens, and canopy beds. The color-coordinated bathrooms have marble or brick floors. All are delightful giving the feeling of having your own private apartment in Florence, including the key to the front door! Guests have free wireless connection, television and DVD, plus other amenities.
